Responsibilities

1. Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
2. Stay informed of general economic and regulatory developments and their impact to the client.
3. Develop annual audit plans, considering the organisation’s objectives and risk assessment.
4. Define audit objectives, scope, and methodologies for various audits.
5. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand their expectations and align audit plans accordingly.
6. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
7. Coordinate with the client and audit team to ensure timely completion of audit and provide value added advice to client.
8. Handle tax matters including writing letters and responding to KRA promptly on behalf of clients.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team

Requirements

1. Must be a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya
2. Mandatory minimum of 3 years working in an audit set up
3. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field will be an added advantage
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Quickbooks and other accounting software
5. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
